For those of you who are interested in getting the kits (and enlarging your stash, heehee!), you can check their website here.
In the mean time, i've been continuing my practicing with scrapping. Here's my take on Scrappin Studio's Sunday Sketch for the week. You can find the sketch here.
This is a photo of my eldest son, taken January 2010, at the OLPS Church grounds. It's a rare thing then for him to just sit quietly on his own; he's always moving around (even his pre-school teacher asked me to consult a doctor whether he has ADHD). Am glad to have captured him in this moment - to remind me that there will always be wonderful surprises, even when you least expect it.
TITLE: A Moment of Calm
Here's another view where the bottom gemstones look like they're floating.
Close up of the top half.
Close up of the bottom half. It tickles me to see that, in the photo, the big WP Sparkler and the nearby mini jewels look like they're floating off the paper! :)
Cardstock (DCMV, BBP)
Patterned papers: MME (Be Loved - Dearest Dots, Affectionate Flowers), 7Gypsies (Lille -Life Is Good), Collage Press Journaling Cards (Fresh)
Rub-ons: October Afternoon
Webster's Pages Sparklers
Doodlebugs mini jewels
Alphabet stickers - Pink Paislee
Punch: Martha Stewart Doily Lace
Mini scalloped scissors
This layout is a bit more colorful than my first one, since the photo has more colored elements in it. I found it a bit easier to work with than with limited hues. I started working from the photo and had taken a bit of a long time choosing which base paper to use, which patterned papers, embellies - so many choices and possibilities!!! In time, i assume, all these choosing will get easier. With practice, of course!
Let me know what you think! Am open to suggestions.
Thanks for looking!
