Hello, folks! It's Friday once again. Weekend's here! ...Uh-oh! That means Monday's just around the corner and it's back to school for the kids again. But let's do enjoy the weekend first :)
This sketch is for Scrappin Studio's 06 March Sunday Sketch:
Here's my take for this week:
It's about my baby who loves to be covered with pillows and asks us to do the "finding." Can you tell if it's a boy or a girl? :)
Here are the close-ups:
As you may have noticed, i've pop-dotted the pink circles on the red frame to give a tiny bit feel of the picture subject hiding :) i've also pop-dotted under the red frame and some i've directly pasted on the yellow paper under it. The idea actually came from an "accident" - i've removed a mistakenly-placed foam dot which lifted the yellow paper off the base. So i "hid" it with a pink circle and the idea took off from there. Neat accident, huh? :)
For the title, i wanted to give it some "eyes" and again foam-dotted some alphas on circles. What's more was i ran out of space placing the title (couldn't take the alpha's off anymore, else the torn-paper scene again) and i had to do a "creative countermeasure" (the term "countermeasure" is a norm for me during my techie days, so even now i still use the word to mean "solution to the problem" hehehe! Sshhh...i even use the term when i think of how to calm my sons' tantrums harhar!) Anyway, it's why i turned the two O's into eyes. Can you also see the eyes on each side of the "a?"
This has been a fun sketch and would like to thank Scrappin Studio for providing this, hence giving me a chance to create another precious memory.
All the papers, embellies, everything in this layout is from the February kit Candy Shoppe. I just love the papers in this kit! Am finding out now how great Studio Calico combines papers and bellies in their kits. Makes it a lot easier for newbie me to put layouts together. Before i subscribed, i was really having a hard time, and my color-combos were really, really off! And there are a lot of layouts that you can put together with the kit! Another big Thank You to Studio Calico and Scrappin Studio!
Oh, by the way, it's my youngest son in the pic.
Thanks so much for looking!
