Some Get-Well-Soon cards...

Had been making a number of cards, lately, aside from the few challenges i enter.

Made these ones for my aunt (Dad's sister) over in Berlin, Germany who's having therapy on her knee and is spending some time in the hospital.  Made 3 cards for her, one each that'd be coming from my Mom&Dad, my sister and my own small family.

Got the inspiration (ok, card-lift) for this first one from the LiveWithPrima ustream site.  I love the pleated part at the bottom! :)

(Materials:  Card base and sentiment - kraft cardstock; patterned papers - Prima Madeline collection; flower - Prima)

This second one also has been card-lifted from Prima's tutorial.   Have learned so much stuff from watching that video.

(Materials:  Card base and sentiment - kraft cardstock; patterned papers - Prima Madeline collection; flower - Prima; stamp - Inkadinkado; twine)

This third card is going to be mainly from my boys, hence the robots theme going on here.  The papers seem a bit dizzying, don't you think? LOL!!!  Well, my boys must have constantly gotten me dizzy that day i was making this card LOL!!!  Hope my aunt wouldn't get a headache by looking at this one :)

(Materials:  Card base - kraft cardstock; patterned papers - Crate Paper, My Mind's Eye; stamp - imaginisce; alpha stickers - Cosmo Cricket)

Thanks for visiting!

Some altered items...

Hi, everyone!  Been busy these past weeks and haven't been uploading any outputs.  My sister and dear family friend came here for a visit (and to bring their long-due Christmas gifts for my boys, hihihi!) and so, for a short period of time, us 3 sisters are complete - together again! My Mom has been visiting also and so, only my Dad has been left back home (we miss you, Dad!).  Been going places here and there with my boys (and their bag-loads of spare everything - shirts,shorts, nappies,snacks, even a PILLOW!) and it was kind of exhausting at times, but fun just the same :)

In between visits, had spurts of time doing scrappy stuff.  Here are 2 altered items i was able to make.

 This one is an altered frame i made for our very close family friend who happens to be the godmother of my eldest son.

What inspired me to make this are creations by Maya Road DT Lia Abdullah. (Of course, this one i made says nothing compared to what she does; she makes GORGEOUS things!!!)  I just love all her projects!!!  ...ok, am a big fan :)  Do visit her blog HERE.

(Materials: Patterned paper - MME; stamp, chipboards, krafts, velvet flowers - Maya Road; flowers, pearls, bling - Maple Treehouse; embossing folder - Sizzix Texture fades (used in the pink paper inside the frame); frame - Ikea)
This altered tag is an experiment of sorts for me.  First time i used Sizzix (and first time ever for me to have a die-cutting machine - Thanks, DH!) and i just love the Caged Bird die!  So endearing!  Hadn't really been thinking much of the color combo when i started this because i wanted to use immediately the first die i cut.  Backed the paper used with chipboard, and curled it a bit to give some dimension.

(Materials: Patterned papers - Jenny Bowlin, MME, Prima;7Gypsies tags; die - Sizzix Caged Bird; trinket, flowers, trim - Maya Road; tiny flower, bling - Prima; pearl -Maple Treehouse; doily; ribbons)

This tag now sits by our front window :)

Thank you for visiting!

Card for Mojo Monday 185

Hi, folks!

Here's a card for Mojo Monday 185 - a contest since the sketch is given on the first Monday of the month. Yipee!

Here's my take:

The fun part for me in making this card is pleating the blue/white PP at the bottom.  Learned this (and lots more techniques) from watching Live with Prima video HERE.

Materials used:
Patterned papers - MME Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink line;
Cardstock - Bazzill;
Stamps - Prima (bird), Inkadinkado (sentiment);
Die - SB Lacey Circles;
Others - twine, Stickles, Beacon's glue, foam tape.

Thank you for visiting!
