Layout for MWL's #4 Challenge

Hi, dear readers!  It's Friday and am anticipating the events this weekend.  Am particularly excited because i've signed up for one of Made With Love's classes - "Home Tweet Home" to be conducted by none other than Maya Road's DT Coordinator Lia Abdullah.  She's a very sweet girl and i love all her MR creations - love-love-love! :) Ok, i am a fan heehee!

This here is a layout for MWL's "Set, Scrap & Go #4 Piradee's Challenge." Yes, it's Piradee Talvana!  Another reason to be excited :)  Who could pass up a challenge set by a Creating Keepsake Dream Team?  I just got to join :) (that's a big, excited smile).  Actually i would've joined all of MWL's challenges but sometimes i just can't squeeze them in, with two boys running around.  Upon every start of MWL's challenge where they state the conditions, i immediately think of how i can do the layout.  But - gaaah! - no matter what i do, sometimes i can't get around the house chores.  So i've skipped 2 challenges already :(

To continue, the challenge calls for a layout which includes stamping.  And since Scrappin Studio's Weekly Challenge (please see my layout on this POST) also calls for stamping, i planned for two layouts.  And during my planning process (that is when i wash the dishes, milk bottles, clean up, etc), sometimes i mistakenly interchange what i would put in the layouts hehehe! Or maybe it's just due to lack of sleep :)

Title:  I Love To Watch You Read

I am again inspired by Karen Grunberg's layouts.  I am in AWE! I have mentioned this before in one of my posts, but she can do layouts of her boys in a really colorful and pretty way.  I mean, pops of color here and there, and punched papers (read about her featured creative space in Pink Paislee's POST.  Look at all those punches!!!)  And the WHITE SPACE!  Love the WHITE SPACE :)

 Here are some close-ups:
Top Left:  The title area. Have stamped on the background.  i hope you could see the pale hearts in lavender and marigold (have used Distress Inks).
Top Right:  Have stamped also on the alphas :)
Bottom Left:  Close up of the Bookshelf stamping.  Have actually scored the paper, that area/line under the books, and then sponged it with Tea Dye Distress Ink.  The photo shows a bit of the scored line.
Bottom Right:  Would like to show the stamped background behind the photos.

I love how this turned out.  I love the colors and the stamps - it's very wonderful that i've gotten them out of their hiding haha!  And i love looking at my boys pics :)  They love books (so much so that most are already dog-earred!) and they can keep quiet for a long while when they read.  Whereas before, my eldest will just read the story, now he will re-tell it to me, with matching actions and sounds, and sometimes ad libs and extra parts not in the story.  Very amusing.  And am so thankful!

Materials:  White cardstock; Patterned Paper - My Mind's Eye Stella and Rose; Stamps - Studio Calico (Bookshelf, Diagonal Newsprint Background Stamp), Bo Bunny, Studio g; Punch - Martha Stewart; Alpha stickers - Doodlebug Designs Inc., AdornIt, Studio Calico, My Mind's Eye, American Crafts; Distress Inks; Slick Writer; Beacon's glue.

Would love to know what you think!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
