Christmas Cards: My Mind's Eye 12 Days of Christmas

Hello, folks!

A few days back, i posted some MME cards using the Lost and Found Christmas collection.  The cards on today's post have actually been made earlier, using MME's 12 Days of Christmas.  I just didn't take photos of them earlier :)   I had been on a card-making roll that i couldn't stop, trying on this and that, and the card pile just kept getting higher and higher :) Hence, the delay in the photo-shoot.

Here they are, each with a brief description below each photo:

Stamped the cardstock with MME 12 Days of Christmas banner stamp using Tim Holtz Distress Ink Antique Linen. Punched out 1" circles from the 6x6 pad to form a tree.  Another stamp from the set for the sentiment, using Memento ink.  Placed dots of Ranger Stickles on the circles on the tree.

Used the peppermint twist stamp from the set to make background on the white cardstock.  Layered a couple of strips of papers from the 6x6 pad, pop-dotted a cut-out stamped sentiment, and placed cut-outs of the stamped peppermint circles on either side.  Placed a dot of Stickles on the center (as with the background) and placed Glossy Accents on top.  The stamped sentiment looked water color-y though :)

Tied some baker's twine on the holes of Spellbinders Grommet Tags die-cut out of kraft cardstock, and glued behind the red strip of cardstock. Red strip is placed on top of two rectangle papers, to cover the seam. The tag face is swiped with VersaMark; sentiment (from Flourishes) is stamped with Versafine.

Same style as the previous card, using another grommet tag.  Stickle dots are placed at diagonal corners.  Sentiment is from MME L&F Christmas stamp set.

This card is a CASE of Debbie Olson's card in this POST.  Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink "Holiday Photo Finishers."  Dies are from PTI's Limitless Layers 1.75" and Bells and Boughs Collection.  Ribbon is from Daiso.

Made a bunch with this style;  it's that simple to make for mass production :)

Using MME L&F Christmas.  The only stamped part is the circle there on top, attached to one of the brads in the set.  Placed Stickles on the scrolls on the paper.  No hard work, because the papers are so gorgeous!!!

Hope you were able to get some ideas.  Thanks for visiting!

Christmas Cards: Pink Paislee 2010

And the Christmas card parade continues... :)

These are my first Christmas cards for this year, made in October (early, eh?).  Like i mentioned in another post, i wanted to use up my Christmas papers from last year.  These are made from Pink Paislee papers "Father Christmas."  I cut up the individual rectangular images and made them the focal points for the cards.

Here they are:

Have stamped on the background cardstock with My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas ornament stamp using VersaMark. I love how it turned out! Used Sizzix die for the flower. The flower center is from the TH Rosette die cut, and have used the same stamp on it as the background. "Special Delivery" sticker is from Simple Stories.

Beneath the "A Merry Christmas" sticker is pleated paper.
Supply list:  Kraft cardstock; Sizzix Tim Holtz Rosette die; Oops! Blooms leaves; lace trim colored with Aged Mahogany Distress Stain; sticker - Reminisce; adhesive - Beacon's, Glossy Accents.

Again, stamped the background cardstock with My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas stamp.  Definitely looks better than with a plain background, in this case :)
Supply list: Kraft cardstock; Sizzix Tim Holtz Rosette die; Oops! Blooms leaves; lace trim colored with Aged Mahogany Distress Stain; sticker - Reminisce; adhesive - Beacon's, Glossy Accents.

Stamped the background cardstock with Tim Holtz music sheet stamp.  Stickled the rosette too and the mat of the sticker.
Supply list: Kraft cardstock; Sizzix Tim Holtz Rosette die; Oops! Blooms leaves; lace trim colored with a mixture of  Studio Calico Mister Huey and Perfect Pearls (had been experimenting :) ); sticker - Reminisce; Ranger Stickles; adhesive - Beacon's, Glossy Accents.

Supply list: Bazzill cardstock; patterned papers - DCWV; bling - Prima; lace trim colored with Aged Mahogany Distress Stain; adhesive - Beacon's, Glossy Accents; die - Spellbinders Labels 17; ink - Versafine.

Another simple card, with background using patterned papers.
Supply list: Kraft cardstock; patterned papers - DCWV; pearls - Prima; adhesive - Beacon's, Glossy Accents.

Upon looking at the following cards, i realize only now that these do not have sentiments on the card front!!!  Could i still add them?  Should i? :)

Supply list: Bazzill cardstock; patterned papers - DCWV; lace trim colored with Aged Mahogany Distress Stain; adhesive - Beacon's, Glossy Accents; bling - Prima.

Supply list: Bazzill cardstock; patterned papers - DCWV; pearls - Prima; lace trim colored with Aged Mahogany Distress Stain; adhesive - Beacon's, Glossy Accents.

My apologies for the photos; i kept getting glared ones when i shoot them straight on (yes, i do need to brush up on photography techniques heehee!) that i tilted the (point-and-shoot) camera on the cards.  Took the photos in the evening and only had the kitchen light on.  For my 12x12 layouts, i place them on the floor near our door (to get much light), but whenever i do this with cards, the cards always look (to me, anyway) flat, so i just had to prop them up.  Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Hope you enjoy the week ahead!

Christmas Goodie Bags

Hello again!

Would like to share with you today some goodie bags i made for my son's class Christmas party.  Have made two sets - one for his classmates and one for his teachers.

These are for his classmates:

Have bought white paper sacks in the local supplies store (the name escapes me at the moment), and simply decorated them.  The paper bags are not too thick and i kept this in mind when embellishing it, plus the fact that these will be handled by 5-year-olds :)

Here they are all lined up and their contents:

These ones are for his teachers:
Had run out of time a bit so i just followed the simple design of the kids' paper bags, but instead using stamp images fit for adults.  Have also inked the edges of the tags, compared to the kids' set. Not shown are the contents, which are handkerchiefs and a small tube of Marks and Spencer's shower cream.

Had fun doing this, although i sort of crammed it.

Supply list:
Papers - DCWV, Bazill, AC kraft; stamps - Papertrey Ink "Candy Cane Christmas," "Star of Wonder;" ink - TH Distress Ink, Memento; pen - Sharpie; bling - Queens; AC tape; dies - Papertrey Ink "Limitless Layers 1.75,"  Sizzix Framelits Circles.

Thank you for droppin by!
