Hi, everyone! Hope your week is going well.
Today am posting for my first ever Papertrey Ink Blog Hop for March - Yaaaay! i always miss out on doing something for the monthly hops, but this month i was fortunate to have enough time to do something.
Here's the Challenge, from Nichole Heady's page:
Here's a scrapbook page i made:
Title: Mr. Handsome
|The photo is one of my most favorites of my eldest. Everytime i see it i always tell myself to have it framed. And everytime i see it, it never fails to melt my heart :)|
My inspiration stemmed from two items: (1) the colors in the photo (aqua, yellow, white/cream) and (2) the arrangement of the items in three rows.
Three strips of vintage cream paper were die-cut with Framed Out #1, leaving negative "windows" or squares. I've filled these with stamped die-cuts or just stamped inside the window with the inspiration colors. The sentiment and image stamps came from several different sets (e.g. "proud of YOU" came from Tiny Tags I ("proud of") and Simply You ("YOU")).
Have stamped the background with BB: Tin Types.
Oh, and there's NO patterned paper involved too :) I don't have PTI patterned papers. I would have used some non-PTI but whenever i see a PP that would have coordinated well with the colors, it always got me to think "Hmm, which stamp could i use instead of PP?" I don't know why, but somehow at the back of my mind i had this thing to use only PTI products :)
Here are some close-ups:
|TOP PHOTO: The "windows." Have used several PTI stamp sets for the images and sentiments. |
BOTTOM PHOTO: The heart columns are supposed to be banners :) The gingham pattern is from the Half & Half set.
