Pages With Papertrey Challenge #10 - LO #2

Hello!  Am back again with another layout for Leigh Penner's Pages With Papertrey Challenge #10 - to include an interactive element on the layout.

My base sketch is from Pages With Papertrey Sketch #8, although my page turned out a bit different.

Title:  You Are So Sweet

This is just my third 8.5"x11" layout.  The others are found HERE and HERE and are pre-Papertrey :)

This page is about my youngest son thinking of me when he saw this cake in the bakeshop, because he knows i watch the show all the time :)  (and that makes them watch the show, too!)  He's 3 years old, by the way :)

Here are some close-ups:

The top photo shows the interactive element, where my journalling is.  I used a brad to hold and turn the tiny tag flower to latch the "door," as my sons call it.
The bottom photo is a close-up of my Liquid Pearl-ed (supposed to be) cake (where i ruined the  piping - i couldn't get the hang of the LP yet).  This is supposed to be a replica (haha!) of the cake in the photo.  I poured Glossy Accents on the alphas; i was trying to finish up the bottle and cut the nozzle to widen it, so i got uneven Glossy Accents on the letters.

I love the patches and the tiny tags, although the page turned out to be busier than i wanted.  The photo seems to get lost, even when matted on dark brown cardstock, so i penned faux stitching around it.

Thank you for dropping by!  Have a sweet day!

-Mayol

Supply list:  Cardstock - Papertrey, AC; papers are from Studio Calico Singin In The Rain and Moses Supposes Kits; stamps (Tiny Tags, Simply You, Wonderful Words Additions), dies (Tiny Tags, Strawberry Patch, Block Alphabet Lowercase, Trendy Treetops), ink (Dark Chocolate), buttons - Papertrey Ink; Sizzix Framelits, Spellbinders Nestabilities; twine - My Mind's Eye; pearls - ZVA; Glossy Accents; Liquid Pearl; adhesives - Helmar, Kokuyo Dot Liner, Claudine Helmuth Studio Matte.

What a great layout, Mayol! I love how you layered all the tiny tags on the Strawberry Patch zig zig rectangles-- what a fabulous idea! And your hidded journaling is fantastic, too!
Thanks for playing along!

What a great layout. And, how fun to have the journaling in like a little book.

Gorgeous layout Mayol! I love the colours and all those tiny tags! Love the mirroring of the cake photo in the sentiment too, great work!

Thanks so much for leaving some love on my blog!
