Hello again!

Dear blog friends and readers...Hello again!

Yes, it has been 5 months since my last post - 5 long months!  Have had some lows and some highs during that time, lots of activities and chores.  The coming new year will bring new changes, too.

I've missed blogging and blog-hopping!  No scrapbook page made all this while, BUT i have been crafting -  those have kept me sane :)  Most crafts i've done are for my boys' school activities.  But now the Christmas holidays have come around, i couldn't stay away from crafting any more.

In September of last year, i made this for my house project:

This year, in October, i did this:

It is an altered Maya Road Trinket Box, painted white.  For the frames with photos in them, I've kept the same pattern throughout - loopy border, patterned papers, stamps, die-cuts - to give some sort of cohesiveness.

For the other frames, i stuck to the same colors as much as possible.

Here are some close-ups:

The die-cut alphas (PTI) are covered with Glossy Accents, and they sit on top of layered papers and transparency.

The "peace" word has been die-cut with shimmery paper (DCWV) and i've put Stickles on the outline.  I've also used Framed-Out #1 die (PTI) to frame some layered stickers and fussy-cut birds (Lawn Fawn paper).  The star is from a Maya Road pin (which i've pulled out). Added some Buttons Galore cuties and Prima bling.

This is actually the first frame that i did for this tray.  I've stamped and heat-embossed the teal images (PTI).  On another piece of patterned paper (MME) die-cut with Half & Half die (PTI), i stamped and heat-embossed another PTI image.  Then layered some papers and embellies, added pearls and bling.

That's my "big" project for this year.  After this, I was still able to make a couple more smaller ones.

How are your holidays?  I hope they're going well.

There're some very sad, heart-breaking events in the world right now, and the holidays are the worst time that they could happen.  I don't know how the families affected can cope, but my prayers are for and with them.

Thank you for taking your time to visit! I really appreciate it!

Take care!

-Mayol
